Industry Panoramic Patent Search and Analysis
For a specific industry or technology sector, we conduct comprehensive searches of relevant patent documents, integrating industry data, corporate information, and non-patent literature. This process aims to uncover critical intelligence such as the development history and trends of patented technologies, the overall patent landscape, key technical areas, major companies/institutions, R&D collaboration patterns, and patent litigation disputes. The insights derived empower clients to grasp competitive dynamics, identify strategic directions, and facilitate informed decision-making for partnerships and business development.
Project-Specific/Thematic Patent Search
This service involves conducting targeted searches of patent literature in a specific technical field or thematic area to identify a set of prior art references. It helps clients gain critical technological intelligence (including technology development roadmaps, hotspots, gaps, etc.) for R&D project initiation, pre-research, and in-process research reference. The analysis guides scientific project planning, adjusts technological innovation directions, assists in solving technical challenges, identifies licensable technologies and potential collaboration partners, supports patent portfolio planning, and strengthens the client’s own patent portfolio. In a narrower sense, it is also referred to as a "Pre-Project Patent Search and Analysis Report."
Patent Novelty Search and Analysis
Also known as patentability search or novelty/inventiveness search.
This service involves reviewing technical disclosures or draft patent application documents with clear technical solutions provided by clients. Prior to patent filing, we conduct searches within relevant domains (domestic and/or international) to identify the most closely related prior art (patent and/or non-patent literature). The analysis preliminarily assesses the novelty and inventiveness of the technical solution, determines patentability, evaluates and predicts the grant prospects of the patent application, and provides recommendations on how to proceed with the filing.
Patent Infringement Risk Analysis / FTO
For a specific product designated by the client, this service involves conducting patent searches to determine whether it may infringe uncertain third-party patents within a specific region, and thus whether it can be freely implemented. Relevant patents are identified and preliminarily analyzed to assess the likelihood and risk level of infringement, along with recommendations for countermeasures. This provides decision-making support for the launch of new products, overseas exports, or participation in exhibitions.

Through FTO analysis ( Freedom to Operate), clients can proactively identify potential patent threats and restrictions related to their technology or products, thereby reducing the likelihood of patent litigation when launching new products or entering new international markets. Sometimes, FTO analysis is also conducted on key components supplied by vendors to avoid patent infringement risks arising from procurement.

While general infringement risk analysis only searches for active patents in the relevant region, FTO analysis additionally includes the use of expired patents to demonstrate freedom to operate.
When facing important patents held by competitors, particularly in response to patent infringement lawsuits, we conduct comprehensive, wide-ranging, and in-depth searches to identify prior art evidence. This analysis aims to demonstrate the lack of novelty or inventiveness of the target patent, supporting its invalidation. Additionally, upon identifying a competitor’s published patent application, we perform invalidity searches and submit public observations to prevent its grant.
Patent Invalidity Search and Analysis
This service integrates the theory and practice of conventional due diligence (including but not limited to legal due diligence), enterprise IPO review inquiries, patent infringement analysis (FTO), patent navigation, intellectual property analysis and evaluation, patent value assessment systems, and intellectual property management standards/systems. Developed and comprehensively upgraded against the backdrop of current global economic conditions, industrial and technological trends, commercial transaction landscapes, and legal and policy environments, it represents a cutting-edge legal and intellectual property service product.

Going beyond traditional basic IP due diligence, it delivers deeper research and analysis tailored to specific industries, technologies, products, and competitive dynamics. This enables clients to uncover value, identify risks, assess investment feasibility, and enhance the efficiency and ultimate returns of business decisions in transactions such as investments, M&A, restructuring, and technology or talent acquisitions.
Intellectual Property Due Diligence
This service conducts comprehensive, in-depth, and systematic patent search and analysis on the client's specific competitors. It aims to uncover the competitor's patent portfolio landscape and key focus areas, compare their patent strength with the client's, identify their core and foundational patents, detect patents they may use to initiate litigation against the client, identify potential infringement risks posed by the competitor's products against the client's patents, and review related patent disputes and litigation history. By enabling clients to "understand both their capabilities and your own," this analysis prepares them for potential future patent conflicts and equips them with strategic tools for counteraction.
Competitor Patent Research and Analysis
For government-supported patent navigation projects (at provincial, municipal, or district levels), we guide enterprises in exploring and defining project themes, preparing application materials, and participating in project proposal reviews. Upon approval, we execute the project in compliance with government contract requirements, delivering outcomes such as patent navigation analysis reports, and ultimately assisting in project acceptance and defense.

Through the implementation of patent navigation projects, we help enterprises enhance scientific decision-making in areas including R&D direction, technology introduction, collaborative innovation, talent acquisition, market expansion, and investment or M&A activities.
Patent Navigation Analysis Project
For government-supported High-Value Patent Portfolio Cultivation Projects (at provincial, municipal, or district levels), we guide enterprises in preparing application materials, participating in project proposal defense, and executing the project upon approval in accordance with government contract requirements. The process concludes with project acceptance review. The scope of work generally integrates Patent Navigation Analysis, Patent Mining and Portfolio Planning, and Patent Application Agency services.

Through the implementation of such projects, we help clients achieve patent portfolio planning at a higher strategic level and with clearer direction, ultimately obtaining a higher-quality, higher-value, and more comprehensive patent portfolio with strengthened legal enforceability.
